Associate Director / Director – Talent Acquisition

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Director / Director – Talent Acquisition (Tech) to build and scale Kimbal’s technology and leadership talent engine. This is a strategic, high-ownership role responsible for designing and executing hiring strategies for critical technical, product, data, and leadership roles. You will work closely with founders, business heads, and HR leadership to ensure Kimbal attracts, engages, and hires top-tier talent in a highly competitive market.


Key Responsibilities

Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Build and drive end-to-end talent acquisition strategy aligned to Kimbal’s growth roadmap
  • Partner with leadership to define workforce plans for engineering, product, data, and emerging business lines
  • Design scalable hiring processes, metrics, and governance frameworks

Leadership & Critical Hiring

  • Personally lead hiring for senior, niche, and business-critical roles
  • Build strong stakeholder partnerships with founders, CHRO, CTO, and business leaders
  • Act as a trusted advisor on talent market trends, compensation insights, and role design

Process Excellence & Employer Branding

  • Create best-in-class candidate experience and hiring operations
  • Drive employer branding initiatives across campuses, communities, and digital channels
  • Implement and optimize ATS / HR tech tools and data-driven dashboards

Team Building & Capability Development

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing talent acquisition team
  • Introduce structured interviewing, assessment, and decision-making frameworks
  • Drive DEI hiring initiatives and inclusive recruitment practices

Market Intelligence & Analytics

  • Track hiring metrics, funnel health, quality-of-hire, and time-to-fill
  • Provide talent market insights to inform business and compensation strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, including tech hiring and leadership roles
  • Proven experience scaling hiring in fast-growth tech or engineering-driven organizations
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to operate at CxO level
  • Deep understanding of tech talent markets, sourcing strategies, and employer branding
  • Hands-on mindset with strategic thinking — comfortable switching between vision and execution
  • High ownership, agility, and comfort operating in ambiguity
