Role Description

The Fire Officer will be responsible for ensuring round-the-clock fire safety compliance across the facility. This role will focus on prevention, preparedness, and response by maintaining fire protection systems, conducting drills, ensuring statutory compliance, and leading emergency response teams to minimize fire risks and ensure safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure 24×7 fire safety compliance across the facility.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain fire detection, alarm, and firefighting systems.
• Conduct regular fire safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Plan and execute fire mock drills and emergency response exercises.
• Lead, train, and supervise firefighting and emergency response teams.
• Coordinate with local fire authorities and ensure Fire NOC and statutory compliance.
• Investigate fire incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement CAPA.
• Maintain fire safety documentation, MIS reports, and statutory records.
• Support EHS initiatives, safety awareness programs, and electrical safety documentation.

Success Metrics

• Zero major fire safety non-compliances.
• Timely completion of mock drills and emergency trainings.
• Effective maintenance and readiness of fire protection systems.
• Strong audit and statutory inspection outcomes.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Fire & Safety or Fire Engineering.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in Fire Safety or Industrial Fire Protection roles.

Functional & Leadership Skills

• Strong knowledge of fire protection and detection systems.
• Hands-on experience in industrial fire safety operations.
• Good understanding of NBC, Factory Act, and applicable Fire Acts.
• Strong leadership, emergency handling, and incident response skills.
