A TYPICAL DAY OF Devops/SRE AT KIMBAL INCLUDES:

• Keep the site up running, keeping customer happy
• Implement Continuous Delivery practices for Development teams to improve time and quality of deliverables
• Integrate SAST and DAST tools with existing and new systems/applications
• Provide guidelines to implement best practices, develop efficiencies, and improve scalability
• Ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems
• Automate configuration management and deployments using the right technologies
• Automate alerts for system availability and performance
• Engage in incident handling and root cause analysis
• Ensure all servers are maintained to the latest security standards

CURRENT MAJOR CHALLENGES FOR THE POTENTIAL HIRE TO RESOLVE:

• Automation: How do they automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error
• Handling Legacy Systems: How do they manage and modernize legacy systems without causing disruptions?
• Smooth Migration: Migration of Legacy System to Kubernetes without causing disruptions.
• Implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Monitoring and Logging: How do they implement monitoring and logging solutions to track application performance and troubleshoot issues?
• Security and Compliance: How do they ensure that the infrastructure and applications comply with security best practices and regulatory requirements?
• Troubleshooting and Incident Management: How do they handle and resolve incidents in production environments?

KIMBAL DESIRES THE Devops/SRE TO HAVE:

• Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting languages like Shell or Python.
• Strong Experience with AWS including extensive experience in Amazon EC2 instances
• Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines across multiple tech stack
• Working knowledge on IaaS, PaaS and Cloud technologies.
• Experience with virtual machines (OS –Linux, Redhat, Centos, and Ubuntu)
• Basic knowledge of Relational Database and NoSql databases
• Experience with real-time failover architecture, principles, and processes
• Knowledge of the demands that a Microservices architecture requires. Building the correct infrastructure and monitoring systems to support
• You should have a firm grasp of networking tools and technologies
