Won APDCL Smart Grid Pilot Project for 14k meters (Among 14 projects sanctioned across India).
2018
100K Smart Meters
Manufactured the first 100k Smart Meters, becoming one of the first few organizations to receive the prestigious IS 16444 BIS License- a hallmark of trust for any organization’s technical capabilities to build reliable and robust smart meters.
2019
The Big Win
Awarded Assam Smart Grid Project for 134k Smart Meters.
2022
600K+ Smart Meters
Successfully deployed 600k+ Smart Meters, including the RF Mesh communication solution and the HES. Serving 4 Indian States- Assam, Bihar, Delhi, J&K.
2023
Implemented automation
900k+ smart meters deployed nationwide. Implemented automation and robotics in manufacturing to achieve 2M+ annual smart meter production capacity.
2024
8 M+ smart meters
Ongoing deployment of 12M+ smart meters. Building a monthly production capacity of 1 million smart meters at the Kimbal Mega Plant.

In 2011, Sinhal Udyog was established, determined to build and provide smart metering solutions in India. The organization rose to become the only Indian organization to make all three critical AMI components in-house with a comprehensive solutions portfolio.
Rebranding as Kimbal
12+ years of successful operations later under the Crystal brand name, come 2023. To carve a unique identity while going global with our products and solutions, Sinhal Udyog Private Limited rebranded as Kimbal Private Limited.

It is to certify that M/s Sinhal Udyog, Kh No. 82/1/4, Mundka, Udyog Nagar, New Delhi, which was awarded the work for the implementation of an Artificial Intelligence-based Meter Reading Solution in APDCL under ERP PO No. 4400003381, letter ref- APDCL/1PDS/e-suvidha/2020/12 dated 28.11.2020, has been providing the technology since 1st January 2021. As of July 2021, more than 1 (one) crore images have been processed by AI, with an SLA of more than 95.5%. This has resulted in higher customer satisfaction, a reduction in AT&C losses, and increased revenue realization.
