A TYPICAL DAY OF Field Application Engineer AT KIMBAL INCLUDES:

• Work in a technical support / application engineering / customer-facing technical role.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and troubleshoot initial level issues.
• Should know multiple tool setup, capture logs, basic hardware connections.
• Good in any scripting language (shell/python) to write automation scripts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues (not limited to software side).

CURRENT MAJOR CHALLENGES FOR THE POTENTIAL HIRE TO RESOLVE:

• Need someone who can handle issues across hardware, software, and system-level not just software troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize support tasks effectively.
• Reduce dependency on manual troubleshooting by creating useful automation scripts.
• Improve customer experience by handling initial queries independently and quickly.
• Support on-site requirements when needed and act as a bridge between customer and engineering teams.

KIMBAL DESIRES THE Field Application Engineer TO HAVE:

• 2–5 yrs of experience in technical support / application engineering / customer-facing technical role.
• Prior experience in embedded systems, IoT, or communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, MQTT) is a plus.
• Technically smart and enthusiastic about the work.
• Willing to travel on-site whenever required.
