SAP PS Lead – Enterprise Projects

Role Description

The SAP PS Lead / Project Manager will be responsible for owning, designing, and operationalising the SAP Project Systems (PS) module across the organization. This role will enable structured execution, financial visibility, and governance of all project types including O&M projects, R&D initiatives, new product development, pre-sales/solutioning work, and strategic leadership-driven programs.

The role acts as the single-point owner of the PS module, ensuring accurate project structuring, milestone tracking, cost and revenue traceability, budgeting integration, and high user adoption across functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and map end-to-end business processes for all project categories including O&M, R&D, pre-sales, and strategic programs.
  • Design standardized project structures including WBS, networks, activities, milestones, and dependencies for each project type.
  • Establish robust cost, revenue, budget, and profitability tracking mechanisms—especially for O&M projects.
  • Work closely with Finance to align budgeting, availability control, cost elements, settlement rules, and reporting structures.
  • Configure and enable SAP PS module aligned to finalized business processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration of PS with MM, SD, FI, CO, and PM modules.
  • Drive user adoption through training, process socialization, and simplification of execution steps.
  • Create dashboards and governance mechanisms to track project health, risks, delays, and financial performance.
  • Lead SIT, UAT, and end-to-end go-live for PS functionality.
  • Own post go-live stability, adoption, and continuous improvement of the PS module.

  • Stable, well-integrated PS module with minimal manual workarounds.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related discipline.
  • MBA or Finance / Operations exposure preferred.

Experience

  • 8–15+ years of experience working on SAP PS with strong business-facing ownership.
  • Proven experience leading SAP PS design, rollout, and adoption in complex environments.

Functional & Leadership Skills

  • Deep hands-on expertise in SAP Project Systems (PS).
  • Strong understanding of project finance, budgeting, revenue recognition, and cost tracking.
  • Ability to translate complex business processes into simple, scalable SAP solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and change leadership skills.
