The year 2025 marked a defining chapter for Kimbal’s journey as an energy-tech leader. We focused on engineering tangible resilience in a high-speed, boundary-pushing environment. Our priority was future-proofing power networks; empowering the utilities and people who rely on them with robust, scalable technology. 

From advanced energy management systems to massive RF-based connectivity, our work this year was about strengthening the foundations of a carbon-neutral world and ensuring that our innovations meet urgent market demands with agility and empathy. 

Here is a look back at a year of recognition, performance, and purposeful growth, and how it has set the stage for a bolder 2026. 

A Year of Recognition

2025 brought national validation for the work we do and the culture we stand for. Kimbal was honored by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as an Emerging Eco Organization (2024–25), a recognition of our ESG-led approach in energy-tech. 

Our people-first culture also stood out. We were ranked #34 among India’s Great Mid-Size Workplaces 2025 and recognized among the Top 50 Mid-size Workplaces for Millennials, reaffirming that strong systems are built by empowered teams. 

Throughout the year, our perspectives were featured across leading platforms including EPR Magazine, Business Standard, ET Now, and ET EnergyWorld, reflecting growing industry interest in India’s smart metering and grid modernization journey. 

A Year of Performance 

Execution remained at the core of 2025. 

• 12 million+ smart meters under ongoing deployment nationwide, supporting large-scale digital transformation across utilities. 

• 1 million + monthly production capacity achieved at the Kimbal Mega Plant. 

• 30% improvement in delivery and operational efficiency, driven by upgrades across our HES, NMS, and FTA platforms. 

These numbers represent more than scale—they reflect reliability, consistency, and trust earned on the ground. 

A Year of Innovation 

Innovation at Kimbal moved decisively from concept to nationwide rollout. We successfully deployed our in-house RF mesh technology (K-Mesh) across India – our own IP designed for high security, scalability, and resilient performance. This marks a major step forward in aligning with the Government of India’s mission to achieve the highest possible Make-in-India and localization benchmarks. 

A key milestone was our partnership with MicroEJ, enabling next-generation smart meters with enhanced edge intelligence.  

At the platform level, the Kimbal EI Platform introduced real-time edge intelligence, allowing faster decision-making, scalable deployments, and smarter energy management at the grid edge. 

A Year of Expansion 

2025 marked the beginning of our global journey. 

• Global Footprint: We took a significant step on the global stage by securing a Memorandum of Agreement for an RF Mesh pilot project in Accra, Ghana. 

• National Presence: Closer to home, we expanded our partnerships, adding new utilities in Punjab and Jharkhand, while strengthening engagements across Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, the North-East, and Jammu & Kashmir. 

A Year of Initiatives 

Beyond business, we invested in people and communities. 

• Project Kritya: Launched as our CSR initiative, focusing on Shiksha (Education), Swasthya (Health), and Samriddhi (Livelihood). 

• Kimbal Premier League: Strengthened team spirit and energy beyond the workplace. 

• Quality Month: Reinforced “Quality” not just as a metric, but as a shared responsibility across functions.  

A Year of Associations & Thought Leadership 

2025 saw Kimbal actively shaping the industry dialogue on the biggest stages. A standout moment was showcasing our innovation at ELECRAMA 2025, where we connected with global industry leaders and demonstrated the future of smart metering. 

From hosting the SASEC delegation to exchanging ideas at ISGF’s India Smart Utility Week, we used every platform to collaborate on the future of India’s power sector—ensuring that our conversations in the boardroom always translated to execution on the ground. 

A Year of Growth & Learning 

Continuous learning remained a priority. Through structured programs like Unnati, Pragati (Design Thinking), and Disha (Leadership), we ensured that our teams grow as fast as the systems we build.
