Strengthening Our Commitment to a Smarter, More Digital Energy Future

Distribution Utility Meet (DUM) 2025, organised by the India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) and hosted in partnership with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co (MSEDCL) and Tata Power, once again proved to be one of India’s most meaningful gatherings for energy and utility leaders. Kimbal was proud to be a part of this year’s event in Mumbai, joining an inspiring mix of policymakers, DISCOM leaders, innovators, and industry experts who are collectively shaping the future of power distribution in India.

For us, DUM 2025 wasn’t just an industry event — it was a chance to listen, learn, and exchange ideas with people who are as passionate about smart metering and digital transformation as we are. The discussions throughout the day reinforced how essential reliability, interoperability, and data-driven insights have become in enabling India’s energy transition.

Our Chief Business Officer, Mr. Gurpreet Oberoi, also spoke at the session “Smart Meters as the Foundation for Digitalization of DISCOMs”. He highlighted how smart meters, supported by strong analytics and real-time data, can empower DISCOMs to work smarter, reduce losses, and enhance the experience of every consumer they serve.
