This quarter also reflected our continued focus on operational excellence, product innovation, and industry collaboration. Here’s a quick look at what we achieved between April and June 2026.
We launched Urja by Kimbal, our new business focused on intelligent energy management. Urja combines engineering, AI, and data to help industries monitor, manage, and optimise energy consumption. The launch expands Kimbal’s capabilities beyond smart metering and supports organisations on their journey towards more efficient and sustainable energy operations.
Kimbal secured $22 million in Series B funding, led by GEF Capital and Niveshaay’s Sambhav Fund.
The investment will accelerate product innovation, strengthen our technology roadmap, and support our international expansion as we continue building intelligent energy infrastructure.
Our international journey reached another milestone with the inauguration of our Singapore office. The new office will help strengthen our presence across Southeast Asia and enable closer collaboration with utilities, technology partners, and customers in the region.

We also participated in Australian Energy Week 2026 in Melbourne, where we engaged with industry leaders on smart metering, grid modernisation, and edge intelligence. The event provided an opportunity to showcase India’s large-scale smart metering expertise while learning from global energy markets.

During the quarter, Kimbal completed the transition to SAP, bringing business operations onto a unified enterprise platform.

We continued expanding the Drishti platform during the quarter. The platform now operates across 13 LHES and 4 EHES environments, providing utilities with real-time operational visibility, live SLA monitoring, intelligent alerts, and automated incident management. Drishti helps utilities respond faster, improve system reliability, and manage large-scale AMI deployments more effectively.
